From San Francisco, Portland and Seattle, explore the majestic Pacific Northwest on this 11- day adventure. This 11- day coastal tour starts in San Francisco, with a tour of the city and most featured attractions like the famous Golden Gate Bridge and discover the “City by the Bay,” San Francisco!

The next several days finds us along the scenic coast highway 101 through California & Oregon, stopping at several coastal towns for visits to lighthouses, dunes, fishing villages, bridges, beaches, museums, aquariums, coastal headlands and overlooks, sea lions caves, California Redwood Forest, Avenue of the Giants and more.

Our next destination is Portland, Oregon for a 2-days situated on Portland’s front door step and all the area attractions. Including the International Rose Garden, Pittock Mansion, Columbia River Gorge National Scenic area, Mt Hood & Historic Timberline Lodge, Willamette Valley Wine Country with an optional elegant dinner cruise on the Willamette River and experience Portland’s dazzling city sights and city lights.

Our final destination is Seattle, Washington with a visit to Mount St Helens were look right into the crater for a close up view of the volcano known for it’s massive 1980’s eruption.

Day 2: San Francisco to Eureka, CA

We depart for an adventure through the Muir Wood National Monument and the Avenue of Giants two pristine Redwood forest.

Muir Wood National Monument: The 550 acres of Muir Woods National Monument contain some of the most majestic redwoods in the world—some nearly 250 feet tall. The stand was saved from destruction in 1905, when it was purchased by a couple who donated it to the federal government. Three years later it was named after naturalist John Muir, environmental campaigns helped to establish the national park system.

Avenue of the Giants: This world-famous scenic drive is a 31-mile portion of old Highway 101with 51,222 acres of redwood groves. It is by far the most outstanding display of these giant trees in the entire 500 mile redwood belt. The Avenue of the Giants is surrounded by Humboldt Redwoods State Park which has the largest remaining stand of virgin redwoods in the world.

Day 3: Eureka CA to Brooking, Oregon

One last look at the Victorian seaport City of Eureka CA, gateway to the majestic CA Redwoods and the amazingly beautiful coastal drive begins!

After lunch we will stop for an amazing scenic ride up the Rogue River on a jet boat. The unmatched scenery and wildlife viewing will take your breath away.

Day 4: Brookings to Coos Bay

Leaving Brookings today’s drive north on 101 the scenic beauty will captivate you along the coastal drive. We will drive through charming coastal towns such as

Gold Beach – featuring both ocean and river recreation. Port Oxford- home to the only ‘dolly dock’ on the West Coast, where vessels are launched and retrieved using the crane, and housed on homemade dollies when not fishing.

Bandon: Otherwise known as Bandon-by-the-Sea, this coastal town will delight you with its charm, its scenic beauty, and its rich opportunities for recreation. It boasts two of the world’s premier golf courses. Bandon golf courses honored as the “Best New Public Course in America” in 1993 and premier courses in the Northwest receiving a 4½ star rating from Golf Digest’s list of “Places to Play in the USA.

Day 5: Coos Bay to Newport

Shore Acres State Park. Perched on a scenic bluff above the Pacific Ocean, Shore Acres began as a private estate with luxurious gardens featuring trees, shrubs, and flowering plants brought from around the world aboard the sailing ships of pioneer lumberman and shipbuilder Louis J. Simpson.

Reedsport Offers the Dean Creek Elk Preserve with a possible sighting

Florence: Stroll through Old Town for a little shopping and lunch. Florence offers optional dune buggy tours out on the OR Dunes National Recreation Area with over 40 miles and 500 ft dunes.

The last 50 miles to Newport is the most scenic and dramatic coastline on the Central OR coast. Highlights include the Heceta Head Lighthouse and the Sea Lions Cave (optional excursion).

Day 6: Newport to Portland via Cannon Beach

Newport is a beautiful little town with incredible views and great shopping. Wildlife is abundant. Watch for coastal sea birds, harbor seals, sea lions, and gray whales. Newport is also home to the Oregon Coast Aquarium (optional visit).

Yaquina Head Natural Outstanding area & lighthouse: Take a tour of the past as you ascend the circular staircase up the lighthouse tower. This is one of the most popular lighthouses in the United States, and offers superb wildlife and ocean viewing.

Depoe Bay: Set among towering cliffs, Depoe Bay is the whale-watching capital of Oregon. Popular for Gray whale sightings

Lincoln City: Optional stop at the casino for a little free time or Premium Outlet mall for some “no sales tax” shopping.

Tillamook Cheese Factory: Watch cheese being made and taste special reserve cheeses, ice cream, and yogurt.

Cannon Beach: Known as the “Carmel of CA”, you’ll want time to stroll along the miles of sandy beaches, the famous Haystack Rock and best coastal boutique shopping and galleries. You won’t want to leave!

Day 8: Multnomah Falls & Mt Hood Loop Tour

Explore the Columbia River Gorge and stand in awe of the second highest year-round waterfall in the United States! You will enjoy spectacular views of many waterfalls along the Historic Columbia River Highway. We will also be touring many of the other wonderful sites along the Columbia Gorge including Crown Point Vista House, a unique visitor’s facility that was built in 1916.

Then we take you up to the 11,245 ft Mt Hood for a visit at the famous National Historic Landmark, Timberline Lodge, for astonishing views from 6,000 ft.

On our loop tour you will pass through our fruit loop region, Hood River and explore this charming Historic town for lunch and shopping opportunities.

Day 9: Portland to Seattle

We will visit Seattle Center and enjoy the views from 500 ft up on the observation deck of the Space Needle. Our tour will also visit the infamous Pikes Place Market for some free time to shop, eat, explore and catch a glimpse of the fish mongers throwing giant fish across the room!

After our tour you can retire to your hotel or visit additional Seattle – must – see options.
