Arrive in Portland, Oregon
Meet and Greet at Portland Airport: You will be met by your Tour Guide and commence right into a Portland city tour exploring all the city has to offer; Portland International Test Rose Garden, downtown Cultural District & Neighborhoods, waterfront, Pearl District & more before settling in to your hotel for an early evening.
You will have the evening free to wander downtown Portland in this lively, walking friendly city and seek out the unlimited dining options to enjoy on your own.
Portland to Bend
Prepare yourself for some amazing views from the Crown Point Vista House in the spectacular Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Your stops along the Old Historic Scenic Highway include the most visited tourist destination in Oregon, Multnomah Falls and other Gorge Waterfalls before having lunch in Hood River: Better known as the wind surfing capital of the world. Free time for Shopping and lunch
After lunch travel up to Mt Hood for a stop at the Historic Landmark, Timberline Lodge, 6000 ft on the face of Mt Hood. We then head over to Bend, OR for an evening to relax and enjoy dinner at one of the many dining options in Old Town Bend.
Bend to Grants Pass
Start the trip with a tour of the High Desert Museum and the Oregon Lava Beds National Monument.
Explore the nature, culture and spirit of the High Desert through fun, interactive, indoor and outdoor exhibits with live animals, live historical performers, a re-created pioneer town and ranch, Western art and extensive Native American collections.
Crater Lake National Park
Upon arrival at Crater Lake we will spend half the day visiting all the must see views and attractions.

Umpqua Rogue Scenic Byway:
As we leave the Crater Lake National Park we will continue on the Rogue Scenic Byway through the National Forest following the Rogue River all the way down the West slope of the Cascade Mountains.
Grants Pass – Rogue River / Wine Country
This morning we will take you out to one of Oregon’s fastest growing wine regions and do a little wine tasting in the Applegate Valley, known for its big reds and numerous varietals that thrive in this climate.
Afternoon Jet boat ride
Southern Oregon is where all the sun and heat is so we will help you cool off with an adventurous and scenic afternoon ride with a Country Banquet dinner experience at the O.K. Corral. Be awestruck with the natural beauty on the Wild and Scenic Rogue River to Hellgate Canyon.
Grants Pass to Jedediah Smith Redwood Park
Depart this morning heading for the Jedediah Smith Redwood Forest.
Redwood National and State Park Excursion, Established in 1929, is predominately old growth coast redwoods park bisected by the last major free flowing river in California, the Smith River. Almost all of the park land is water shed for the Smith River and Mill Creek, a major tributary. The park has about 20 miles of hiking and nature trails, river access, a visitor center with exhibits and a nature store.
Depart for Gold Beach, Oregon for your 1st overnight stay on the Oregon coast.
Day-6: Gold Beach to Coos Bay
Today’s drive north on highway 101’s scenic beauty will captivate you every stretch along the coastal drive. We will drive through charming coastal towns such as Port Oxford & Bandon. Port Oxford: Home to the only ‘dolly dock’ on the West Coast, where vessels are launched and retrieved using the crane, and housed on homemade dollies when not fishing.
Otherwise known as Bandon-by-the-Sea, this coastal town will delight you with its charm, its scenic beauty, and its rich opportunities for recreation. It boasts two of the world’s premier golf courses.

Coos Bay to Newport
Shore Acres State Park: Perched on a scenic bluff above the Pacific Ocean, Shore Acres began as a private estate with luxurious gardens featuring trees, shrubs, and flowering plants brought from around the world aboard the sailing ships of pioneer lumberman and shipbuilder Louis J. Simpson.
Winchester Bay & Reedsport:
Dean Creek Elk Preserve with a possible sighting.
Visit your 1st lighthouse on the Oregon Coast, the Umpqua River Historic Lighthouse: “The 65-foot tower is situated on a hill 100 feet above sea level surrounded by US Coast Guard buildings and a Museum. An earlier light structure, the first on the Oregon Coast, was built in 1857 on the south side of the river. It fell into the swollen water seven years later during a storm when the water eroded away the sand. The current lighthouse was started in 1890 and was illuminated in 1894.”
Florence: Stroll through Old Town for a little shopping and lunch. Florence offers optional dune buggy tours out on the OR Dunes National Recreation Area with over 40 miles and 500ft high sand dunes.
The last 50 miles to Newport is the most scenic and dramatic coastline on the Central OR coast. Highlights include the Heceta Head Lighthouse and the Sea Lions Cave (optional excursion).
Newport to Cannon Beach
A beautiful little town with incredible views and great shopping. Wildlife is abundant. Watch for coastal sea birds (cormorants, murres, and guillemonts), harbor seals, sea lions, and migrating Gray Whales. Newport is also known as the former home of Keiko the Whale at the Oregon Coast Aquarium (optional visit).
Yaquina Head Natural Outstanding area & lighthouse: Take a tour of the past as you ascend the circular staircase up the lighthouse tower. This is one of the most popular lighthouses in the United States, and offers superb wildlife and ocean viewing.
Depoe Bay: Set among towering cliffs, Depoe Bay is the whale-watching capital of Oregon. Popular for migrating Gray Whale sightings due to the rich kelp beds for whale feeding. Depot Bay also has the World’s smallest natural harbor!
Lincoln City: Optional stop at the casino for a little free time or Premium Outlet mall for some “no sales tax” shopping.
Tillamook Cheese Factory: Watch cheese being made and taste special local cheese, ice cream, and yogurt from this “365 days a year” factory.
Known as the “Carmel of CA”, you’ll want time to stroll along the miles of sandy beaches, take photos of Haystack Rock and shop in this little town known for the best coastal boutique shopping and galleries. You won’t want to leave!
Seaside to Portland
Before we head inland to the Willamette Valley we can’t miss Astoria and the Columbia River mouth known as the “Graveyard of the Pacific”. You have optional visits to the Maritime Museum with a reputation for the quality of its exhibits and the scope of its collections making it one of the finest maritime museums in the nation.
Or you can visit the Fort Clatsop National Park, 1805-1806 winter fort of the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
We will complete our Astoria visit at the highest point, The Astoria Column with views as far as the eyes can see before heading to Portland for an early arrival to explore on your own.
